Beautiful Live Edge Desk
Made from Locally sourced timber
Our latest desk design started with 50mm thick solid Oak slab. After milling the slab flat to reveal the usable shape of the piece we designed a steel base to compliment the industrial feel of the live edge.
This design features live edge shelves under one end of the desk and a set of accompanying steel drawers at the other.
The top will be finished with epoxy to stabilise any cracks from the drying process and to ensure a smooth and flat surface on the desk. The top is then finished with multiple coats of teak oil, enhancing the grain and nourishing the wood. Teak oil provides a waterproof finish that can easily be reapplied to maintain the desk throughout its life.
A One of a Kind
Once polished the teak oil leaves a beautiful satin finish. This highlights the natural shapes of the live edge and really gives the grain that final definition.
